Qixing Yan(Qixing Cave)
When the Japanese invaded Guilin during the Second World War
800 plus Chinese soldiers sought refuge in the cave. The Japanese
soldiers barricaded the entrance to the cave with dried
chillies which were later torched. All the Chinese soldiers were
suffocated by the smoke. There is a grave in the park dedicated to these victims.
Bring along a bouquet when you visit the park. The grave is called
"Babai zhuangshi Mu".
